Why is it called “Constant Comment”?

Founder Ruth Campbell Bigelow created the blend in 1945, and it drew so many constant comments from friends that the name stuck. It is still made from her original secret recipe by the Bigelow family. For more, see the “Constant Comment” story on our website.

How is "Constant Comment" decaffeinated?

The caffeine is removed using the ethyl acetate (EA) process. Ethyl acetate occurs naturally in tea leaves and in many everyday foods and drinks, and the EA process leaves the finished tea with roughly the same level as the original leaf. For more, see how Bigelow Tea decaffeinates its teas.
