Dinner with a Twist

Make dinnertime unforgettable with a flavorful glaze that’s both sweet and spicy. Using the iconic “Constant Comment tea, this glazed chicken recipe brings a bold, vibrant taste to your plate. The blend of black tea, orange rind and aromatic sweet spice not only delights the palate but also embodies a rich story of tradition and innovation that began 80 years ago with founder Ruth Campbell Bigelow.

To make the glaze, steep the tea in hot water, then combine it with red pepper flakes, fruit preserves, and a touch of soy sauce to create a rich, savory-sweet coating. Brush it over your chicken as it bakes which enhances the warm and citrusy notes. This dish is so delicious, your guests will undoubtedly “constantly comment” on just how amazing it is.

12.  Pour glaze mixture over chicken, cover the dish and bake for 30 minutes.

13.  Uncover, spoon glaze from the bottom of the pan over the chicken and bake 20 minutes longer, or until juices run clear when chicken is pierced deep between leg and thigh.

14.  Remove chicken, drain liquid into a small saucepan, and reduce over high heat to a sauce consistency.

15.  Serve chicken with a spoonful of sauce.
