Bigelow Tea tests moisture levels in every recipe to prevent mold growth.

Moisture Control

Every Bigelow Tea recipe is tested for moisture to help ensure there is not an opportunity for mold to grow. Moisture is one of the primary conditions that allows mold to develop in tea and other botanicals. By testing moisture levels at the recipe stage, Bigelow Tea addresses the risk before the product reaches the consumer.

How Bigelow Tea Protects Against Moisture

Bigelow Tea uses individual foil pouches for each tea bag. Foil is the most effective packaging material available to seal out moisture, light and air, all of which are conditions that can degrade botanicals and promote mold growth. This packaging helps maintain the integrity of the tea from production through consumption.
