Bigelow Tea
Ingredients
-
Bigelow Green Tea w/ lemon (I used two bags)
-
6 tablespoons of sugar and more for taste
-
5 or more lemons (squeeze the fresh lemon juice)
-
3 cups cold water
-
2 1/2 cups boiling water
-
Ice (as much as you’d like)
-
Lemon Ice Cubes* they just look pretty
Directions
Pour 3 cups of cold water into a pitcher. Squeeze the juice of 5 lemon wedges into the pitcher (I used 6).
Add 6 tablespoons of sugar into the mixture and stir.
Boil 2½ cups of water on stove.
Put two Bigelow Green Tea w/ lemon tea bags in to seep for 3 or 4 minutes (you can do this while preparing the other part).
Add a lot of ice to the pitcher (as much as you'd prefer).
Remove the tea bags and pour tea into the pitcher (you can let it cool a little before pouring).
Stir the tea and lemonade mixture together and add more sugar for taste (I know I did).
Add in Lemon Ice Cubes for garnishment.
Lemon Ice Cubes
The “Lemon Ice Cubes” are extremely easy to make.
Just grab a muffin/ cupcake pan, pour a little water into each hole (as thick as you’d like the cube to be).
Slice a lemon and place the slices into the water in each hole.
Place the pan into the freezer until the water is frozen.
See, simple. I used one lemon ice cube in each glass, and the rest I put in the pitcher to keep the green tea lemonade cool.
