Tea For the Troops, Tea For a Good Cause

On Sunday May 19, 2103 the Boothe Memorial Park in Stratford Ct had their opening day where they celebrated the 100th year anniversary of the park.

Part of the celebration for the day included a Classic Car show hosted by the Port 5 Naval Veterans Association (which is located in Bridgeport Ct.) Tea_for_the_tropps_Port_5_car_show

As the centerpiece of the show, Port 5 conducted a flag raising ceremony honoring our flag and all of our U.S. Veterans. They also gave out awards and goody bags to the first 200 participants that entered the car show. Bigelow American Classic Tea was donated and included in those bags as a gift from the company to support our Veterans. All proceeds from the car show went toward supporting US. Veterans organizations such as Home of the Brave , Freedom Guide Dogs, Fidelco Guide Dogs, Port 5 etc.

Photo includes: Port 5 Commander Navy Master Chief (retired) Richard Iannucci and member Marine Sergeant Mike Benedetto along with Bigelow Tea employee Colleen Glover.

Colleen Glover is a trustee of the Port 5 Naval Association's Women's Auxiliary and was a volunteer at the registration booth at the car show.
