I have had this tea many times. I don’t know what has happened. The tea smells fine until I put it in hot water. An almost ‘fishy odor’ appears after the bag is steeping. I’ve changed the cup, used distilled water, water from the faucet, heated in a kettle versus th microwave and have finally resolved it’s the tea! What is being used to decaffeinate the tea. It’s horrible!!!!!
Great flavour!

This is my favourite tea - it is hard to find orange black tea, let alone in a decaffeinated version. I was so happy when my sister procured me a box on her travels. Love it!
I love this tea!

This is my favorite tea. I've been drinking Constant Comment Decaf for about 4 year. My husband buys the regular Constant Comment. We are both big fans.
Taste not like that of decades ago
by Bud from Charleston on 10/30/2016 2:14:40 PM
I was always hooked on Constant Comment that I grew up with. ( I am in my 60's ) Unfortunately, the current blend does not have the flavor of old. And, I am not the only one reporting this. Whatever has changed - please go back to the original of decades ago and I will be then a continuing and satisfied customer.
Constant Comment no longer constant quality
by Martha from Columbus on 3/5/2016 5:03:17 PM
Your Constant Comment tea was a favorite in our family for decades. I'm 65 years old and I remember my mother sending me Constant Comment in "care packages" when I was in college. Later, during visits home she and I would share conversation over hot, soothing cups of Constant Comment. It was our favorite. I bought your new label recently and it pales in comparison with your original recipe. How awful! It has virtually no aroma and the flavor is watery and ordinary. I won't buy it again because it taints the memories I have of sharing good times with family and friends over a cup of wonderful Constant Comment of the past. You should have changed the name if you were going to spoil the product. Let me know if you decide to bring back the old recipe.
by Pam from Fredericksburg on 2/7/2016 6:38:43 AM
This used to be my favorite tea. I agree with the majority of these posts. The flavor is now a shadow of what it was. The decaf is even worse. I purchased it by accident. Since drinking it every morning I have also had some side effect reactions to whatever is now used to decaffeinate it. Will never drink it again!
Not the same
by Patricia from Columbus on 1/20/2016 8:09:41 AM
I'm giving this a 3 star because no matter what I'm a huge fan of Bigelow teas. Since I was 17 and a waitress--I know the constant comment brand and the taste; and this one has changed and not as intense as it used to be but better than others on the market for this price. I wish they would bring back the flavor from the 70's. Your customers are begging you!!!please
by Anne from Gallatin on 12/12/2015 7:24:49 PM
The Constant Comment Orange Spice Tea was a bit of heaven. The new version is well, just not. Please, please bring back the original. The new version is terrible. It is like drinking artificial yuck!
NOT the same recipe
by Janice from El Sobrante on 8/17/2015 12:17:36 AM
I have read the home page stating this is the original recipe. I have been drinking this tea for decades, my taste buds work very well, and so does my taste memory. The new boxed Constant Comment is definitely NOT the original flavor of the tea. It lacks the intense flavor that made Constant Comment tea such a wonderful, refreshing, drink. There is no flavor of cloves or cinnamon. I certainly won't be buying this tea again unless the company and the family truly does return to the original flavor. So sad to see it gone.
Constant is M.I.A
by Nicole from Naples on 6/29/2015 12:39:32 AM
Why is decaf constant comment unavailable to purchase all of a sudden?! I bought the regular constant comment instead and like all the other reviews state, there is a huge lack of flavor. Very disappointing. I have been drinking this for over 25 years, what a shame that its changed.
Inconstant Comment
by David from West Palm Beach, FLorida on 6/20/2015 8:26:27 PM
Seems like the only "constant" comments now made about "Constant Comment" is that it's flavor and quality have been downgraded and the decaffeinated version has become just about extinct on store shelves. Just one more example of a classic brand ignoring and alienating its customers. Good luck after your bankruptcy! Remember next time: If it it ain't broke, don't fix it. I think I will sit down tomorrow and blend me some spices, pulverize them and put the powder in airtight container. Then I can bring it out and mix with whatever tea I want that day. No future "comment" will be necessary.
regular constant comment tea
by joan from valdosta on 6/10/2015 9:17:43 AM
I have been drinking Constant Comment Tea for many years and loved it. Now I cannot find the "regular" tea any where. Everything is "Black Tea". I, and I am sure there are others, who cannot drink black tea but would like to once again enjoy the regular Constant Comment Tea of old. Where can I purchase it ?
by Diane from Abbotsford on 5/21/2015 7:03:59 PM
I want to buy local. This was always a big favorite of mine and now can't get it at any store. I don't want to buy online. PLEASE bring it back to the local store and with the original recipe.
not the same!
by Anne from Hatfield on 4/18/2015 8:42:59 AM
I went on this Bigelow website to try to find the good old Constant Comment decaf tea but see it not available... I agree that with the new packaging comes a different recipe and little to no flavor of the original... So sad to see and disappointed. Tastes like I'm drinking hot water!! I will have to hunt for another favorite. Please bring back the old recipe!!
Cannot find Constant Comment Decaf
by Ann from Hideaway on 4/16/2015 7:04:43 AM
I am yet another person who cannot find CC Decaf in local stores. I live in the Tyler, TX area. What is going on Bigelow? I do not want to buy a case! And I agree the taste and the aroma are not quite the same.
Missing decaf tea
by Teresa from Seattle on 4/9/2015 11:52:33 PM
I live in Seattle WA. Decaf constant comment has disappeared from my neighborhood stores. Can't find it at Safeway or Bartells. My husband found it at a Safeway in a different neighborhood.
Where, oh, where is CC Decaf??
by Stacy from Parrish on 4/6/2015 12:55:15 PM
I, too, live in Southwest Florida, and cannot find CC DECAF anywhere. Where on earth has it gone? I love it at night, but now cannot drink it. I can't have caffeine before going to bed. Can someone please share the whereabouts of this tea?
Constant C omment

I am down to my last 2 bags of Constant Comment Decaffeinated tea. This is the only tea I drink & I can't find it anywhere. Sometimes I find the caffeinated but never the decaffeinated! Why is that? I live in Ill. & Fla. & can't find it in either state I would appreciate it if you could tell me who carries it.- Thank you
Miss the old blend
by Catherine from Palmetto on 2/15/2015 2:27:04 PM
I loved this tea, and bought and drank it exclusively for years. I have noticed with the new packaging a change in flavor. No longer is there the visible orange rind, the rich spicy aroma when opening the foil. There is only a hint of what used to be. WHY? Why change the recipe of your signature line? I am disappointed, and wish I could have an answer. I can no longer find the decaf anywhere in SW Florida, and hate to order it online, only to find it is as bland as the caffeinated. Please tell me why you changed the blend. Thank you.
Constant Comment Defa
by linda from Venice on 12/28/2014 3:22:32 PM
I too have found that it is hard to find the Decaf. Public's and Walmart in SW Fl. no longer handle it. I've also found since you changed the packaging. The taste is just not the same. I miss the Orange rind and sweet spice that was a staple in the old packaging blend. The new taste is more black tea and rather bitter.
Love it & miss it
by Kirby from Clearwater on 12/17/2014 9:15:29 PM
My wife and I have been drinking and enjoying it since I was given a cup of it with a shot of Cointreau Brandy Liqueur at a barber shop in Knawbone, IN. in the early 1970's. It was a blistery cold day and I was on my way home from a business trip when I happened to stop in this barber shop I had never been in before. I am sure glad I did as it is our staple drink every winter. My problem now is none of the supermarkets including Walmart carry the decaffeinated version which we need as we normally drink it in the evenings.

My Tea
by Peggy from Richmond on 5/24/2014 7:10:46 AM
This is "my tea"! I enjoy the cup I am drinking right now just as much as the first cup I brewed about 30 years ago. The complexity of the spices with a hint of citrus is a flavor I have never tired of. I look forward to each cup. I have shared this tea with so many people I have lost count.
