FruiTEA Dessert Compote
Ingredients:
1 cup hot water
6 Bigelow® Lemon Lift Tea
Bags*
1 cup blueberries
1 cup strawberries (quartered)
½ cup raspberries
½ cup blackberries
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
Serves 8

*NOTE: You may substitute Bigelow
I Love Lemon Herb Tea if you want a caffeine-free
sauce.

Instructions:
This dessert sauce is made from fresh berries cooked
in Bigelow® Lemon
Lift tea and is perfect over ice
cream, angel food cake, pound cake, or with a simple dollop of
whipped cream. To make a thicker sauce, simply increase the
amount of berries from three cups to five.
Combine hot water and tea bags and allow to steep for 5-7
minutes. Gently squeeze teabags and discard.
Place tea in a medium saucepan with sugar, vanilla, and lemon
juice. Bring to a boil and simmer for approximately 5-7
minutes until reduced by half. Add the blueberries and
strawberries, and cook until blueberries begin to "pop". Add
the raspberries and blackberries and continue to cook an additional
two-three minutes. Cool for approximately 10 minutes and
serve.
Alternatively, store in an airtight container and refrigerate up
to 3 days. Bring to room temperature before serving..
