►New! "Freezin' for a Reason" 2013
This past holiday season, Bigelow Tea collected items for the Female Soldiers: Forgotten Heroes home in Bridgeport. This home is the first transitional housing facility in the state for women veterans. It is the female version of Homes for the Brave. The home was purchased and renovated, and the ribbon cutting was on October 21. It needed just about everything you could imagine a new home would need times 10! On December 20, Sherri Luba, who spearheaded the program, and I delivered comforters, pillows, dishes, towels, and gift certificates and cash totaling more than $450 to the Homes for the Brave site. Amanda Testi, Joy Kiss and Laura Cust of Female Soldiers: Forgotten Heroes happily accepted the Bigelow donations. Thank you to all the Bigelow Tea employees who made this generous donation possible.
