Signed at the Bigelow Tea Community Challenge, by Bob Hendrick, Bigelow Tea Vice President

Bigelow Tea is working with the USO to distribute 8,000 boxes of our American Classic Tea for the Troops Tea to service men and women overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan. In a conversation with Brian Whiting, President of USO of New York, it was suggested that we include personal notes from home with our tea care packages. He said that to many servicemen and women, the sincere notes of thanks and well-wishes that our soldiers receive is more meaningful than the actual product.  At our 26th annual Bigelow Tea Community Challenge event this year, we set up tables displaying our Tea for the Troops and provided note cards; inviting those attending the event to write a short note.  We collected nearly 600 warm notes ranging from a simple “thank you” and “come home safe” to something more personal such as “You are my hero, in loving memory of 1st LT Jordan Russell” and “God Bless, you are making a difference (Sister of a Marine)” to the cute ones from kids that included wonderful drawings. The notes will be attached to the boxes at an upcoming USO event in New York City when they will pack up the care packages including a personal note in each. A huge Thank you and Warm Wishes to all who serve or have served our country!
