Please dont change this tea!
by Susan from Carson on April 25, 2012
I have been drinking this mint tea every morning for 30 years. Last month I bought a box that tasted lemony. I wrote the company and they responded immediately. They asked me to mail them a couple of the tea bags and in return they fedexed me a new box and some coupons. The box they sent me was fine. I figured it was a fluke and purchased another box at the store with a different lot number and it tasted just as bad! I was disturbed by another review that suggested that the product had been changed. I hope not!
New Coke ?
by Randy from Round Rock on April 22, 2012
This seems like the “New Coke” debacle from a few decades ago. They had millions of loyal consumers that loved it until the recipe was changed. This made national news and by many it was seen as a stunt to mimic the exact taste of their biggest competitor. I do not know what Bigelow’s motivation is but I do know they changed the taste. Judging from the few posts that I read many loyal consumers have noticed and have responded with disappointing posts. I have been drinking “Plantation Mint” since 1989. I will not be drinking “Plantation Mint” in the future. Please email me when you change back and I will be glad to purchase again!
Something is wrong....
by Abigail from Seabrook, TX on April 4, 2012
Main Complaint: Tea tastes fruity, not minty.
This tea used to be awesome. We have used this tea for at least the past 15 years. It has been a staple in our lives. We love our mint tea. Recently the tea has tasted funny. You can even kind of smell it in the tea bag before brewing it. It tastes fruity, and not very minty at all, once brewed. If the next box we buy has these bad fruity flavors we will most likely switch to another mint tea.
Disappointed
by Juliana from Savannah on April 2, 2012
I am very disappointed. This tea was so awesome, my favorite for the last several years but something has changed. The tea no longer tastes good. At first I thought I was just getting bad boxes but now it is every box I buy. I am sad to say that I will be switching tea companies.
Please offer decaf!
by Teri on March 17, 2012
Love this tea, but can't have caffeine; please offer a decaf version!
Amazing
by Anna on March 7, 2012
This tea is by far my favorite!! And personally, I appreciate the amount of caffeine. I feel they should keep the caffeine content especially because those who would like a caffeine version can decaffeinate themselves! Thanks Bigelow!
My Favorite Tea - Who cares about caffeine...
by Brandy from Circleville on February 26, 2012
This is, hands down, my absolute favorite tea. The flavor is outstanding and I can't seem to get enough of it. I'm not sure why everyone is so upset about caffeine but who cares. A little bit of caffeine in your diet isn't bad for you. Please Please Please make this in a K CUP!
Ugh
by Nicole from Fishers on February 25, 2012
I have been drinking Plantation Mint tea since I was a little girl. Almost 20 years. I start every day off with a cup and end every day as well. For the past almost 2 weeks I haven't been able to. Something has changed with the taste of the tea, and every time I try to drink it, I can't even make it past the first sip. I have tried everything: tap water, distilled water, changing cups, changing sugar (even went and bought a new bag), changing the milk I put in it as well...to no avail. Please change it back to the way it used to be.
Caffinee
by Kara from tampa on February 24, 2012
I am really disapointed that there was no indication on the box that this tea had caffinee in it! That needs to be changed ASAP!!!! I've been giving this to my kids thinking it was caffinee free!!! I won't buy your product any more!!!
No indication of caffeine on packaging?!
by S from San Francisco on February 22, 2012
I purchased this tea under the assumption it was caffeine free, as I've never had a caffeinated mint tea...I was disappointed to find that it is not caffeine free! Please make this plain on the box so others don't make this mistake in the future!
Bigelow plantation mint tea
by elsie from nashville on February 15, 2012
It seems as if you have changed the plantation mint tea formula. It taste as if there is bleach in it. I changed cups; changed sugar but it still taste awful. Are your bags bleached? I used to love the tea but something has gone awry. I will not purchase it again.
De-caff the tea yourself!
by J from Albuquerque on February 10, 2012
Almost everyone on here is complaining about how much caffeine is in the tea. Did you know that the large majority of caffeine is brewed out of the tea the first time you brew it? Just put a small amount of hot water in your cup, brew the tea for a minute or so, dump out the liquid and start again. You may need a minute or so longer brew time, but you still get the excellent flavor of this awesome tea with decreased caffeine!
No caffeine!!
by Steve from Concord, NH on January 30, 2012
Boy, you guys really screwed up! There is NOTHING on the packaging about caffeine content and, like a fool, I bought it thinking that it was caffeine free. It isn't, and now I'm jacked up when I don't want to be. Change your packaging ASAP! Offer a decaf!!
Miss my decaf!!
by Heather from DC metro area on January 23, 2012
I love this tea, there is no substitute, but I have to keep trying others because you got rid of the decaf. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the decaf. And, K-cups would be awesome too. :) Bigelow is the best, and I hate buying others.
Too much caffeine
by Lily from burbank on January 23, 2012
I LOVE this tea - It's incredibly delicious but there is way too much caffeine in it. It makes me jittery and nervous. I wish the company made a decaf version. Mint tea doesn't have caffeine so I purchased it with that assumption. Wish Bigelow would write 'Caffeinated' on the box.
Love it! But....
by Justin from O'Fallon on January 13, 2012
Make them into K Cups please! This is the only tea that I will drink. I got a keurig maker for Christmas got all excited when I seen Bigelow had K Cups. But then got all upset when I found out that they didn't have the Plantation Mint in a K cup yet.
need to put caffeinated on the box!!!!!!
by daphne from kailua kona on January 10, 2012
Nowhere on the box does it say its caffeinated! Not good! Couldn't sleep all ngt! PUT IT ON THE PACKAGE SOME PEOPLE CANT HANDLE CAFFEINE!!! besides it taste like a tea bag! I'm going back to my traditional medicinals!

1st Time Reviewer
by Suzanne from Cumberland, RI on December 9, 2011
I have never written a review on anything before, but this is my absolute favorite tea, and I come from a long line of tea drinkers. I have always wanted to be able to order in bulk so I wouldn't have to go to the store to frequently, as I drink it every day, all day, and a box of 20 bags doesn't last very long, even though I do get two mugs out of every bag. I too would like a decaf version for evenings by the fire. Please don't ever let Plantation Mint go the way of Postum.
Mint Tea
by Andrea from New York on October 8, 2011
I love this mint tea. Before I drank it i was congested to the max, but now my nose clear. Even my friend's nose is clear and he didn't drink any, he just smelled it!
Decaf please
by Jean from Emmaus on October 4, 2011
I used to love the Plantation Mint Decaf tea for stomach pains. Haven't found anything comparable. Would love to see you bring it back.
Plantation Mint
by Cindy from Epsom on October 4, 2011
I had my first Plantation Mint when I was 12 or so and more than 45 years later still my favorite Bigelow tea. But I miss the decaf version! Please bring it back.

by jennifer from hilton on September 25, 2011
I LOVE this tea, however it has too much caffeine in it so i cannot drink it. I really wish you would offer this tea in decaf.

by Tricia from Ladson on August 27, 2011
I drink only 2 kinds of hot drinks, hot chocolate & Plantation Mint tea. My office just switched to a Keurig machine 2 weeks ago & my husband just bought one today. I just had some chocolate but would love some tea. Please make it in a K-Cup!!!
My favorite, hot or cold
by Scott from Sherman oaks,ca on August 15, 2011
Plain and simple, my favorite flavored black tea whether hot or iced.
Would love to see this in larger tea bags for iced tea.
by Peggy from Pasadena on July 19, 2011
Love this tea!! Makes a wonderful iced tea, but, larger tea bags would be more convenient. Please consider adding a line for iced tea. ??
Please???
Missing my Plantation Mint Tea
by Melanie from Bedford, Indiana on June 27, 2011
I have been an avid fan of the Plantation Mint Tea for about 30 years now. I love to add a few tea bags to my favorite iced tea for additional flavor. I also love to curl up with a good book and a cup of my favorite mint tea on a cold winters day. My problem is that our local groceries have stopped carrying the Plantation Mint Tea. I am having withdrawals and would love to see it back on my market's shelves. Also please bring back the decaf version. Nothing like a spot of tea late in the evening but don't like being awake all night.
K-Cups pleeeaaassseee???
by Amanda from Washington, DC on June 16, 2011
I have adored Plantation Mint since I was a tiny person (now almost 30). I remember studying with a giant thermos of it from elementary school all the way through college. My mother ate a LOT of Thin Mints while she was pregnant with me, and I generally blame my minty addiction on her - but this stuff is just the fricking bees knees! Now that I've gone off to work in an office and have discovered the variety and joy of the Keurig and Flavia machines, and having gotten a Keurig for my mom & dad, sister and my husband, I would seriously get on my knees to see a Plantation Mint k-cup! Our office tries to keep a lot of varieties of coffee and tea on hand, and I just went through our office supply book to see if you all had a k-cup version (big fat no ::sad face::) and was sorely disappointed... I'm sorry, but ya'll need to do something about this! The only two versions we've had of mint tea had have been weak or just plain awful! And having tried your Mint Medley in tea-bag form (the only mint you have thatcomes in a k-cup I believe), it just doesn't cut it. I 'like' it, but it just doesn't have the same kick-in-the-pants mint flavor that I rely on Plantation Mint for. Also, when I make mint iced tea, andthing but the Plantation Mint comes out bitter or bland. Gross. PLEASE PLEASE seriously consider making this product - I know I and others in my office (and the world over) would really enjoy it!!!
Please bring back decaf!!!!
by becker from boulder on June 2, 2011
This is my favorite tea; I drink it almost exclusively from morning to night, hot or iced- it is wonderful! I would LOVE a decaf version, please bring it back!!!!
LOVE! Die for!

I love this tea, drink it every morning at work. It's the only tea I drink. I love that it's not heavy and can drink both winter and summer.
Bright and Sweet
by Steve from Huntsville, AL on February 23, 2011
Here lies yet another Bigelow's variety that's as good solo as it is with a sweetener. One of my good friends always keeps it on hand in making his daily flask of tea for drinking at work. For me, it's more an occasional pleasure... but only because I much prefer the Earl Grey and Constant Comment for their citrus notes!
Platation mint

Love this tea it is my very favorite. Have been drinking it for many many years. I sure miss the decaf. would love for this to make a comeback.
Yum!
by Katie from Eau Claire on December 26, 2010
This tea is good! I had never been a fan of tea, but I recently got laryngitis and was told tea honey and lemon juice was a good way help get my voice back. My mom picked up this tea for me and I thought it was GREAT! It's good with honey and lemon juice as well!! Definitely recommend it to those who have never liked tea.
Best Tea Ever
by Kathleen from Bristol on December 13, 2010
I have drank tea all my life, but when I started with stomach ulcers Planation Mint has been the only tea I've been able to drink. Hot or cold it is the best tea for my money, helping my stomach is a benefit I never expected but am happy for this benefit.
Great tea, but I'm fairly certain it contains caffeine!
by Kari on December 5, 2010
Wonderful tea! My new mint favorite by far... however, after doing a little thinking about it I decided to check the ingredients, and one is black tea, which is CAFFEINATED. Just wanted to share with everyone in case you thought it was not. Happy sipping - but for me not in the late afternoon/evening!
Wonderful!

Find this Tea!
by Clark from Robertsdale, Alabama on August 27, 2010
I had to go to several stores to find this tea, and it was well worth the effort. Plantation Mint has the perfect blend of fresh Spearmint and Black Tea.I am simply blown away by it!!!
Very good
on March 23, 2010
I drink this tea when I have heartburn and it makes it go away. It is a light spearamint taste, very delicious with a touch of sugar!
Tasty!
on February 25, 2010
For the record, I'm not a "tea" drinker as a rule. I've started trying different teas to replace sugary soda's. Since most teas have caffine, my goal was to find one that's tasty. When I tried Plantation Mint, I was sold! Good job!

This blend of black tea and spearmint is a delightful combination of intense flavor with a cooling aftermath of menthol. It's hot and frigid at the same time... it's a perfect balance of taste and health. Love it!

I love mint tea, but I cannot live without black. I've been looking for black + mint, but grocery stores don't sell it. This is the perfect combination (and you don't waste money buying mint and black separately and brewing them together!)
